Volunteer Opportunities in Guatemala

Work with young Maya students that are studying to become primary teachers in the rural areas of Guatemala. You can share your creative artistic knowledge or teach English at 2 high schools that only serve the Maya population.

One of the schools is Instituto Indigena Santiago (IIS) located outside of Guatemala City. This boy's school is administered by the Christian Brothers of the Las Salle and the career is Bilingual Intercultural Primary Teacher. The boys are also studying agriculture, music and a new rural Health program. If you think you have any of these skills please contact us.

The other school is Instituto Socorro located in Antigua Guatemala. This girls school is administered by the order of Bethemite Sisters and they are studying to become primary teachers.

Foundations for Education (FFE) is always looking for someone that could do a promotional video of the foundation.
